I hope that by now, you have clicked through my gallery and seen the variety of images I create. My emphasis is on creating heirloom quality portraits of your family that reflect the values and lifestyle that are important to you. I value my relationship with my existing clients and strive to form lasting bonds with my new clients as I continue to meet the needs of your family as it changes over the years. I established my portrait studio in 1981 and I am now photographing the children and grandchildren of clients whose own childhood portraits were made by me, as well as their high school senior and wedding portraits.
My husband Ed has worked alongside me for many years. He only helps out part-time now, but often accompanies me at location sessions and events. We have 3 adult sons who have helped out over the years and currently Logan is working in the photography and video field himself. He is an expert drone pilot, so feel to contact me if you have a need for his services. And let's not forget the four-legged family members who love to be the official greeters, Zula and Broose, the Gordon Setters, and one or more of the family felines!
My family-operated studio values a relaxed approach that encourages each person to feel comfortable and looking their best. Drawing from the experience of raising three sons, my ability to understand a child’s personality enables me to capture the transformation that occurs from infant to young adult. The ability to help people feel comfortable while sitting for a portrait extends to reluctant husbands and boisterous pets and is reflected in my award-winning portraits.
As a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography and recipient of a Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America, I am well-skilled at the technical aspects of lighting, posing, exposure and composition. I am often asked what kind of a photographer I am; my response is that I am mostly a portrait photographer but I really photograph almost anything! I think my gallery and Fine Art Gallery reflect that.
From my family to yours, I welcome your visit to our website, I hope you enjoy browsing my gallery and that you will give me a call to create a portrait that your family will treasure for generations.
